PRATT COMMUNITY

HEALTH NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY

Provided by Pratt Regional Medical Center,
the Pratt County Health Department, The Hope Center and
The Pratt Area Chamber of Commerce.

A Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) survey is conducted every three years. The last CHNA survey was conducted in 2024, therefore the next one is scheduled for 2027.

To effectively address and meet the diverse needs of their communities, all hospitals and health departments that receive federal funding are required to periodically conduct these CHNA surveys. This process not only enhances community engagement but also ensures that federal healthcare resources are allocated to where they are needed the most.

A CHNA requires public input to learn what the public perceives as the most pressing healthcare needs in our community. Anyone who receives healthcare in Pratt County is encouraged to participate!

Once a survey is complete, key community stakeholders form task groups to brainstorm and attempt to create ways to address the top-ranked "unmet needs" identified in the survey. Implementation is the next step toward meeting these needs.

The Pratt County Health Department is happy to partner with other key community members to present this Community Health Needs Assessment website. This site offers vital insights into residents' lifestyles and activities across living, learning, working, and recreational spheres. Together, we strive to cultivate a healthier, more equitable Pratt County.

Fundamentally, public health endeavors to enhance the longevity and well-being of all residents. According to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s County Health Rankings Pratt County is faring about the same as the average county in Kansas for Health Outcomes, and better than the average county in the nation.
