ABOUT US
A healthy community starts with you!
Public health promotes and protects the health of people and the communities where they live, learn, work, and play.
Public health protects and improves communities by: promoting healthy lifestyles for children and families; preventing the spread of disease and epidemics; assuring high-quality healthcare services; protecting against hazards in homes, work, communities, and the environment; and preparing for and responding to emergencies. There is little of daily life not related to or influenced by public health.
The Pratt County Health Department is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of all Pratt County residents, endeavoring to optimize health prospects for everyone. The Pratt County Health Department serves a variety of neighborhoods and communities including Pratt, Iuka, Sawyer, Cullison, Coats, Preston, and Byers. Each community presents unique health-related challenges and possibilities.
This website provides crucial information and perspectives on these challenges and opportunities.
